Emmy's Eyes

 At Emily's 12 month check up her eyes were screened with new  tool our pediatrician's office has.  Unfortunately, she failed three times in a row.  So we headed to the pediatric eye doctor to get her eyes checked!

Thankfully I was forewarned that the wait is TERRIBLE.  By the time we arrived for a 9:00 appointment, the place was packed. They had to dilate her eyes twice, so that involved more waiting.  But sweet girl was so, so good! She sat in my lap, ate snacks, and basically soaked up the one on one attention.By the time we got back to a room, poor Emmy had just crashed.  Like, head just went straight into my shoulder.  Bless her heart!  She was a good sport about being woken up and let the doctor do his thing.

She does have an astigmatism in both eyes. If it stays the same, we can put off glasses until she is four or five. If it worsens we will need to do something sooner.  But our doctor says this kind of thing often resolves itself...so we will wait and "see"!
